An absolutely fantastic book from the extraordinarily talented author Cassandra Clare (or as we - her fans call her - Cassie Clare). The second book in a mesmeric trilogy is a dissapointment to no-one as the battle rages on, led by the undeniably sexy demon hunters all with thier own deliciously angsty issues and romantic hangups. The book is paced beautifully, written with true fantasy-passion but with a snappy sarcastic bite to it, a touch of witty reality that many fantasy/horror books lack. Magnificently gothic, sexy, smart and alluringly creepy - The Mortal Instruments trilogy has it all. 9/10.
