Shaun Tan

Shaun Tan grew up in Perth and works as an artist, writer and film-maker in Melbourne, best known for illustrated books that deal with social, political and historical subjects through dream-like imagery. The Rabbits, The Red Tree, Tales from Outer Suburbia and the graphic novel The Arrival have been widely translated throughout the world and enjoyed by readers of all ages. Shaun has also worked as a theatre designer, a concept artist for Pixar and won an Academy Award for the short animated film The Lost Thing. In 2011 he received the prestigious Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award in Sweden, in recognition of his services to literature for young people. His most recent books are Rules of Summer and The Singing Bones.

Steve Tasane

Steve Tasane is a writer and performance poet who "rap-funks for everyone from primary schools to May Day anarchists". He has performed at Glastonbury, St Paul’s Cathedral and The National Gallery, been writer in residence at the V&A Museum of Childhood, been broadcast on TV and radio, and done a writing residency at the Dickens Birthplace Museum. Julie Tatchell

Julie Tatchell is a teddy bear and soft toy restorer, working with Amanda Middleditch and more commonly known as The Teddy Bear Ladies from the BBC 1 show, The Repair Shop. They have been working together since 2006. When they are not working together, Julie enjoys time in the countryside. She loves all things nature and walking her dogs. Given the chance, she loves to visit craft fairs and antique emporiums.

Sean Taylor

Sean Taylor has written more than 60 books for young readers. These include picture books such as Hoot Owl Master of Disguise, How to be Cooler than Cool, and I Want to Be in a Scary Story, illustrated by Jean Jullien, and A Brave Bear, illustrated by Emily Hughes. He’s the author of The Dream Train, a much-loved collection of poems for bedtime, illustrated by Anuska Allepuz. And for 30 years he’s been encouraging children to write poems themselves. Thomas Taylor

Thomas Taylor is an award-winning author-illustrator for children. He illustrated the cover for the very first Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and has since gone on to write and illustrate several picture books and young novels; most recently he illustrated Scarlett Hart: Monster Hunter, written by Marcus Sedgwick. The first title in his Eerie-on-Sea Mystery series, Malamander, was published to huge acclaim in 2019 and the series has been translated into 20 different languages to date.
