Max Grafe is a printmaker, painter and illustrator. For Walker Books he has illustrated Old Coyote, written by Nancy Wood, Laura Amy Schlitz's The Bearskinner, and What the Grizzly Knows, written by David Elliott. He lives in New Orleans.
