Tanya Landman runs Storybox Theatre, a touring puppet theatre for children, with her husband Rod Burnett. She is the author of junior novels Waking Merlin (9781406302509), Merlin’s Apprentice (9781406302011), The World’s Bellybutton (9781406300895) and The Kraken Snores (9781406307061) as well as a series for younger children: Flotsam and Jetsam (9781844281190), Flotsam and Jetsam and the Stormy Surprise (9781406302806) and Flotsam and Jetsam and the Grooof (9781406307054). She has also written two critically acclaimed novels for teenagers, Apache (9781406303315) and The Goldsmith’s Daughter (9781406307078), and most recently the Poppy Fields murder mysteries, of which this title is the eighth. Tanya has two sons and lives in Devon.
