Margaux Carpentier

Margaux Carpentier is an image maker and storyteller. She creates pictures using a symbolic language, so each piece can be read by all, in many ways. Her work records the infinite combinations of colours and feelings offered by the world. She works on varied projects, from large murals, installations, and paintings to detailed book illustrations, and ceramics. Margaux was born in France in 1987 and has been living in the UK since 2008. What inspires her above all are the books she reads, her walks around the old overgrown cemetery near her studio or through faraway lands, and conversations with human and non-human friends.
