Beanie the Bansheenie by Eoin Colfer, stunningly illustrated by Steve McCarthy, has been shortlisted for the 2024 An Post Irish Book Awards!
Shortlisted in the Junior Children’s Fiction Category, Beanie the Bansheenie is a collaboration by two award-winning Irish bookmakers that takes a familiar myth from Irish folklore and turns it into a truly powerful, unforgettable and universal story of love, perseverance and friendship against all odds.
The shortlist was announced at a launch event in Dublin which Eoin and other shortlisted authors attended to celebrate the news. Winners will be announced at an award ceremony on Wednesday 27th November.
