Pam Smy

As a child

As an adult

As an artist

Pam Smy graduated from Cambridge School of Art with a BA in Illustration and an MA in Children's Book Illustration. Her work has appeared in the anthology Magical Tales Of Ireland, as well as numerous other compendiums and educational texts. Whilst researching The Hound of the Baskervilles, Pam took a camping trip to the moors to sketch and to get a feeling of the place. "It rained most of the time and was very atmospheric," she says. "I could understand how Conan Doyle had the inspiration for the story after a trip there with his friend. The moor really is an extra character in the book."
