Senior Commissioning Editor (Maternity Cover)


We are looking for a reliable, experienced and talented Senior Commissioning Editor of children's books for a full-time maternity cover position from October/November 2018, for a minimum of one year.


Reporting to the Picture Book Publisher, this role is an opportunity to work on some high-profile picture book titles as well as a boutique list of fiction, ranging from early reader to YA. First and foremost, the objective will be to take care of current authors and to guide a number of books through to publication. There will also be potential for commissioning new titles for the list.


The successful applicant should have excellent editorial skills, offer the highest level in author care, and have a passion for and understanding of the children’s book market.


Salary: Competitive with a great benefits package

Location: Vauxhall, London

Contract Type: Full Time
