Business Affairs Assistant

Crucial administrative role in a busy Business Affairs Department required. As Business Affairs Assistant, you will report to the Business Affairs Manager and provide support for them, the Business Affairs Director and to the department in general. You will assist with key tasks involving head contracts, sub-rights and permissions agreements input/backfilling on Biblio system; setting up/running regular departmental Biblio reports relating to head contract expiries, overdue advances, unfulfilled agreements, development fees; dealing with reversion of head contract requests & licence expiries; interfacing with and  monitoring titles on anti-piracy provider, acting as UK gatekeeper for piracy queries; issuing take-down notices; handling/issuing permission licences for use of Walker controlled copyright material; producing and distributing monthly report of agreements signed throughout Walker group to cover (a) rights acquired, (b) rights sold and (c) contract cancellation and rights reversions; plus other key department functions.

IT Mac/PC Support Analyst 

Walker Books are looking for a Mac/PC Support Analyst who is technically minded with significant experience in both Mac and Windows systems at the desktop level. You must have great customer service skills and have a passion for problem solving.

Compliance Executive (Business Affairs)

Reporting to the Senior Business Affairs Manager and working closely with and in support of the Compliance Controller, the role includes invoicing and collection of payments for designated areas of foreign rights, licensing and other subsidiary rights agreements (whether advances, guarantees or royalty income) in a timely manner, credit control and maintaining up-to-date, accurate records and filing systems relating to such income ensuring accurate posting to the royalty system; other ad hoc tasks across department as and when necessary.

You should have minimum 2 to 3 years compliance or similar royalty accounting experience with excellent Excel skills. A working knowledge of the Biblio system would be highly advantageous.
